We tell stories like old times. This is our favorite.

THE DAY CHHOTA BACCHA WAS BORN
One late winter afternoon in a typical Indian home, while the sun shimmered through the trees and a warm breeze blew, the family elders sunned themselves in the courtyard and the local biddies sang with the Dholak. The aroma of Indian spices wafted through and a brood of young toddlers in crisp white MulMul
Dhotis giggled. Celebrations were on to welcome the new baby! The Dadi fussed over the baby with love and the Nani lovingly shooed off the inquisitive young cousins.
This is where CHHOTÀ BACCHÀ was born.

Who we are
While the new mother is lovingly made to stay indoors for the 40 days, to heal and become stronger, the new baccha is with the dadi, nani and the midwife.
Old school and yet fresh – that is how we perceive a new BACCHA’s immediate caregivers. The dadi’s love shows with drishti and the nani’s when she recites the Hanuman Chalisa. And then there is the daayamma who protectively covers the milk bottle from everyone with a Rumal and only then gives the baby the feed.
That is how we have seen our babies being brought up. And that is our ethos of work and thought.
